Dan Gibbins is an experienced and respected personal injury lawyer in Tyler, TX. Dan has spent years practicing both on behalf of plaintiffs and the defense, giving him an in-depth knowledge of the legal strategy that he now uses to represent individuals who have been hurt by the negligent and wrongful acts of others.

Dan was recently honored to be named Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers.

A La Poynor High School graduate and Tyler Junior College, Dan has East Texas roots, which led him to open Gibbins Law, PLLC in Tyler, TX. Outside the courtroom, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, Kendra, who is also an attorney, and their two children, Piper and Tessa. His favorite pastimes include playing golf, hunting with his grandfather, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Fightin’ Texas Aggies.

Brian Schmalbach

As a parent and father, Brian understands the challenges involved in custody disputes, divorces, and other legal matters. His experience allows him to comprehend the struggles that his clients are enduring as well as the long-term effects. He strives to find solutions for his clients that work in the real world.

Brian attended and graduated from the University of Oklahoma and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship.

Brian worked as an oil and gas accountant in Oklahoma City until he decided to go to law school. While attending the Oklahoma City University School of Law, Brian worked in the following areas of law: personal injury law, oil and gas law, and family law. Upon graduation from law school, Brian sat for the Texas State Bar Exam and became a licensed attorney in Texas. Brian believes his experiences and education provide him with an ability to problem solve and create resolutions specifically tailored to the individual client.

Brian currently practices primarily in family law. Brian finds family law to be particularly rewarding as he can utilize his knowledge and skill to create the best outcome for the client.

Dan Gibbins

Lexie Booterbaugh

A dynamic individual with a rich academic background and a passion for the law. Lexie graduated from the University of Arkansas, Sam M. Walton College of Business, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing, and minoring in Political Science and Business Management in 2018.

Building on this foundation, she achieved a Juris Doctor Degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2022. Lexie is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and embraces her role as an attorney to give individuals a voice within the justice system. As a member of the Texas Bar College, Lexie actively contributes to the legal community, serving as a Board Member of the Smith County Young Lawyers Association and holding memberships in the Smith County Bar Association and the Texas Bar College.

Among her achievements is the publication of her work, “Everything is Bigger in Texas: Including the Horrendously Inadequate Attempts at Providing Special Education and Related Services to All Children with Disabilities,” in the St. Mary’s Law Review on Race & Social Justice in 2022. Beyond her professional pursuits, Lexie finds joy in spending weekends with her family and two beloved dogs, Charlie and Sophie, exploring new places and creating lasting memories.

Taylor Mann

Taylor Mann’s journey into the legal field began with a transformative experience in his youth. Attending a court hearing, he felt a deep sense of powerlessness and confusion. This pivotal moment ignited his determination to understand the law and protect others from similar experiences. He committed himself to becoming a lawyer, driven by a desire to demystify the legal system and advocate for those in need. Taylor will continue to help clients while he waits for his official bar results in November. 

Taylor pursued his education with this goal in mind, graduating from Texas A&M University in 2012. He continued to build on his academic foundation by earning his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 2024. He is currently preparing to take the bar exam in July, with his admission to practice still subject to character and fitness approval, as well as the completion of the Texas Law Course.

Outside of his professional aspirations, Taylor is an avid reader, primarily of non-fiction, but he enjoys a good novel from time to time. He is a devoted Christian and finds joy in spending time with his eleven-year-old daughter, the love of his life. In his leisure time, Taylor can often be found playing golf, walking his dog, or lifting weights.

Taylor’s personal experiences and passion for justice drive his commitment to his clients. He is dedicated to guiding them through the complexities of the legal system with empathy and expertise.

Camdon Maydew

Camdon Maydew’s journey into law was fueled by his desire to make a meaningful impact. Believing that a legal career offers a unique way to help others, he committed to becoming an attorney to advocate effectively for those in need. This conviction drove him to excel both academically and professionally.

Camdon earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 2024. He was recognized as the 3rd Best Oralist in the Touro Law 9th Annual National Moot Court Competition and made the Dean’s List multiple times. His involvement in the Baylor Law Barrister Society and Tau Kappa Epsilon highlights his leadership and dedication to the legal field.

As he awaits the results of the Texas Bar exam, Camdon remains focused on preparing for a career dedicated to making a difference. His commitment to helping others continues to shape his approach to the legal profession.

Despite his family’s deep ties to aviation—his father is a pilot, his mother a flight attendant, and his brother a flight instructor—Camdon humorously admits to being afraid of heights, adding a personal and relatable touch to his story.
